Balluff reckons it has set new sector standards with its mic+ range of compact sensors with numerical digital displays Operation is described as easy and rapid

The operator inputs the application parameters via two keys (touch control) and can then read the measuring values in plain text from the digital display during running operation.

With the keys, which are arranged beneath the LED display, the parameterisation is called up and the self-explanatory menu structure is prompted.

Information such as the current distance value can be conveniently read from the three-digit, brightly illuminated LED display, which automatically alternates between millimetre and centimetre representation.

The operator can preset the current or voltage output by means of the digital display (numerical plain text display or percentage display).

For this, the object to be scanned need not be placed within the detection range.

This facilitates a complete presetting of the sensor without the help of any auxiliary reflectors, even outside the actual application.
