Tough sensors extend range
Steelface sensor range adds series of sensors that combine a rugged single-piece stainless steel housing with 2 to 3x the sensing range of standard inductive proximity sensors.
The number one reason sensors fail is repeated or excessive physical contact with heavy or fast moving metal objects Balluff is expanding its offering of Steelface sensors to include a series of sensors that combine a rugged single-piece stainless steel housing with 2 to 3x the sensing range of standard inductive proximity sensors
This combination of rugged housing and extended sensing range makes these sensors ideal for applications where they may incur contact.
Their longer sensing distance allows the sensor to be mounted further away from the target, which lessens or eliminates sensor contact.
The new Steelface family of extended range sensors consists of 12, 18 and 30mm (shielded and unshielded) sensors.
These models will be offered in normally open PNP and NPN configurations with a 4-pin micro connector.
