Fixed distance sensor is suitable for a wide variety of target materials, and features exact background suppression and small sensing hysteresis.

New from Balluff, the Optoprox has a rugged construction that lets it go where most photoelectrics fear to tread.

Its reliable fixed sensing distance is suitable for a wide variety of target materials, exact background suppression, and small sensing hysteresis.

With its powerful red light, it's easy to precisely align an Optoprox to target very small objects and to sense difficult to detect black plastic, metal, and rubber parts.

Balluff's Optoprox combines the best features of a proximity and photoelectric sensor.

It is a photoelectric sensor that offers the simplicity of mounting, aligning, and handling of an inductive proximity sensor, but without the range limitations.

The Optoprox has a focused red light beam with a fixed sensing range up to 23mm, complete with background suppression.

Applications include presence sensing, positioning, controlling, and monitoring of discrete and process automation sequences.
