Miniature photoelectric sensors offer four different sensing modes - diffuse, diffuse with background suppression, retroreflective and through-beam.

The BOS 2K family of photoelectric sensors from Balluff offers full functionality in a miniature package that's only 20 x 7.5 x 10mm in size.

BOS 2K sensors have an unmatched scan range up to 1.2m.

They offer four different sensing modes covering: diffuse, for part identification; diffuse with background suppression, for part configuration and placement; retroreflective, for parts verification and counting; and through-beam versions for part sizing and position information.

These tiny sensors can be easily attached in slots, pockets, guide rails or most any place a sensor is needed.

They are ideal for a variety of assembly and handling applications - including error proofing.

Each sensor contains a pinpoint LED emission feature that offers the precision of a laser for exact aiming and positioning, all at standard photoelectric prices.

The IP67 rated plastic housing offers outstanding protection, even in harsh environments, and ensures long service life.

Metal sleeves on the sensor body work with M3 screws to provide fast, convenient attachment.

A full range of reflectors, mounting brackets, and connectors is available.
