Balluff has introduced the BOS 50K diffuse sensor, which is rated to IP67 and has background suppression.

The sensor has a measuring range from 200 to 2000mm and a Fresnel receiver element lens.

It is ideal for object detection over long distances, including assembly operations outside hazardous areas, for example in the automobile, wood processing and packaging industries.

It is available in six versions, PNP, NPN, normally open, normally closed and complementary.

A 10-turn potentiometer sets the switching distance.

Two 360 degree visible LEDs display the switching state and fault conditions to give an overview of sensor conditions.

The user can use screws to fix the BOS 50K directly to the equipment.

Clamp mounting is also possible.

The Balluff BMS universal mounting system also provides a variety of mounting solutions.

Sensor alignment is assisted by the red optical dot which is visible over the entire sensing range.
