Valve controller interfaces with safety
systems
Burkert Fluid Control Systems has introduced an AS-i version of its Mini TOP compact on/off control head.
Burkert Fluid Control Systems has introduced an AS-i version of its Mini TOP compact on/off control head, which allows the company's smaller pneumatic process valve family to interface with the original and 2.1 version AS-i systems as well as Burkert's own EasyLink and EasyNet decentralised intelligence systems The Mini TOP - which has already featured in one of the largest AS-i network systems in the UK at Johnson Matthey's precious metals refinery at Royston, Hertfordshire - combines valve control, pilot valves and position feedback, and due to its modular design, can be easily mounted to a variety of process valves to create a Mini TOP system

Solenoid valves handle diverse environments
The Type 6027 is a direct-acting (2/2 and 3/2 NO and NC) range of solenoid valves for shut-off, dosing, filling and ventilating tasks as well as vacuum applications.
The IP65 rated Mini TOP will easily handle media from 0 to 55C with flow rates up to 40 litre/min and pressures from 2 to 10bar.
Single and double acting pneumatic actuators are possible and position feedback can be achieved using either mechanical or inductive limit switches.
The novel all-in-one design of the Mini TOP significantly reduces installation and commissioning costs and its standardised connections to valve actuators, intelligent sensors and process network interfaces allows it to integrate with Burkert's Easy process control system.
