The acquisition is another step in Bureau Veritas' plans for growth and brings its UK workforce to just over 700 staff (a near three-fold increase since 2000).
Strategically, the move strengthens Bureau Veritas' broad portfolio of technical and consultancy services in the UK, consolidating its electrical inspection and geographic coverage.
Regspec carries out electrical testing and inspection services on distribution systems and appliances, including risk assessments.
Regspec has over 100 employees across the UK.
Its current client base includes extensive, ongoing relationships with facilities management companies, handling the electrical safety inspection and engineering for companies such as Hilton Group, Glaxo Smithkline, Cadbury Schweppes and United Biscuits.
Regspec has performed well over the last two years with a successful new business record and strong profitability.
The agreement will also provide Regspec's existing clients with access to Bureau Veritas' integrated network of services.
