Profibus sensor interface is suitable for the acquisition and processing of sensor signals such as force, displacement, torque, pressure, acceleration or angle.

In many sectors of the fieldbus related industrial automation there is an increasing demand for speedy and safe process control with high measurement accuracy The Model 9221 Profibus sensor interface is suitable for the acquisition and processing of sensor signals such as force, displacement, torque, pressure, acceleration or angle

The universal module is designed for the integration of various analogue sensor output signals into complex, networked and peripheral automation structures.

Thanks to its security, reliability, fast transfer speed and simple construction, the device finds applications in industrial automation as well as the test stand technology.

The Profibus sensor interface has been developed especially for speedy control and real-time tasks and covers a multitude of applications.

Potential-free inputs and outputs at PLC signal levels allow easy integration into any control environment.

The Profibus DPV1 protocol permits parameterisation, data collection, remote diagnosis and backup function of singular or several modules through a centrally installed control.

The setting of the configuration data and the additional functions like arithmetic averaging, filtering, zero balancing, min/max memory and threshold values can be done using user friendly configuration software as well as directly via Profibus.

The module's DIN-rail mounting construction and IP20 rating enables easy installation into switchboard cabinets; a version sealed to IP65 is also available for especially rough surroundings.

Due to its versatility the module is particularly applicable in the automotive industry, for example in complex gear and engine test stands or for weight definition in high-rack facilities.

It is also well suited for special machinery engineering or the packing industry, manufacturing technology as well as R and D and experimental setups.
