If you are a health and safety professional with responsibility for controlling workplace exposure to harmful bacteria and viruses, then book your place at the BOHS seminar and exhibition.

If you are a health and safety professional with responsibility for controlling workplace exposure to harmful bacteria and viruses, then the latest BOHS open technical seminar and exhibition is for you.

'Managing Workplace Exposure to Biological Agents' runs from 10.45 to 15.30 on Wednesday 13 October 2004 at Vauxhall Motors Sports and Social Club, Ellesmere Port.

This seminar and exhibition - hosted by BOHS's Biological Agents Special Interest Group - offers an important opportunity to meet and talk with experts.

Part of the challenge of managing exposure to prevent ill-health is recognising the circumstances in which such exposure can arise, and then effectively implementing control strategies.

Experienced occupational microbiologists will highlight some of the workplace situations where exposure might occur.

There will also be a presentation on the new HSE guidance on managing the risks, and a general discussion on the role of occupational hygiene assessment in controlling the risks.

In addition, relevant equipment suppliers will be exhibiting throughout the day, with opportunities set aside during registration, lunch and at the end of the general discussion for delegates to browse.

The full programme and booking form is available on the BOHS website.

The cost, which includes lunch, is only GBP40 for BOHS members or GBP60 for non-members.
