The latest BOHS seminar, 'The health and environmental aspects of due diligence processes associated with acquisitions and divestitures', will be hosted by the Society's Environmental Special Interest Group on 30 September 2004, at Nabarro Nathanson's offices in Victoria Quays, Sheffield It aims to answer questions such as: how are the interests of the workforce protected when a company is bought or sold or merged? And what, exactly, might those interests be? Buying and selling or merging companies is a complex business and extends the principles of caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) well beyond those associated with buying a house

Focussing on the environmental and health liabilities of company transactions, the whole-day session will provide three perspectives, with presentations from a law firm, an international chemical company, and a consultancy.

The full programme and booking form is available on the BOHS website or by telephoning the BOHS.

The cost, which includes lunch, is only GBP40 for BOHS members or GBP60 for non-members.
