The BOHS is running an updated COSHH seminar to take account of the fact that the latest revision of the COSHH Regulations will be published on 17 January 2005.

The latest revision of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations will be published on 17 January 2005, and the new Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) and Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) will come into force in April 2005.

Employers and occupational health and safety professionals throughout industry need to keep themselves informed about these developments.

In a timely response, BOHS has re-developed the popular seminar 'COSHH - Current and Developing Issues' to provide an update on the revised Regulations and the issues surrounding them.

This will take place on 10 March 2005 at Herriot-Watt Science Park, Edinburgh.

In addition, there will be a number of presentations covering practical aspects of assessment and measurement as well as the latest approaches to the selection and fit testing of respiratory protective equipment.

Speakers will include representatives from the HSE, industry and consultancy.

This is a one-day seminar which is open to all, and attendance will count towards Continuing Professional Development not just on the BOHS's CPD scheme but also on any organisations' schemes which are self-administered.

The full programme and booking form is available on the BOHS website or by contacting the BOHS.

The cost, which includes lunch and refreshments, is GBP40 for BOHS members or GBP60 for non-members.

Non-BOHS members who wish to join on the day will be entitled to a GBP10 discount from the normal annual membership fee.
