BOHS is organising an Environmental Noise Measurement seminar from 10:00 to 15:30 on 13 July 2006 that will be held at Casella in Bedford, UK.

Whilst noise assessment and control in the workplace has always been an important role for many occupational hygienists, with the advent of IPPC (Integrated Pollution, Prevention and Control), more and more people, and not just occupational hygienists, are having to understand environmental noise issues.

This seminar, organised by BOHS's Environmental Special Interest Group (SIG), is aimed at anyone becoming increasingly involved in assessing community noise and the impact of industrial operations.

Sessions on legislation together with practical advice on measurement will be given, followed by practical examples based around some recent case studies.

The seminar can be booked on-line via the BOHS website, where the full programme is also available.

The cost, which includes lunch and VAT, is only £40 for BOHS members or £60 for non-members.
