BOHS: 21st March 2007 at the Institute of Food Research in Norwich.

The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals will impact upon many businesses in the UK.

Due to enter into force in April 2007, it will affect all manufacturers, importers and users of chemicals, and streamlines the existing legislation on 'new' and 'existing' substances.

This one-day technical seminar entitled "How to REACH 2007" has been developed by BOHS's REACH Steering Group, and brings together experts in all aspects of REACH, along with a supporting exhibition, an open panel discussion and ample opportunity for networking.

The seminar will begin with an introduction to REACH, and then lead into presentations on the implications for large manufacturers and importers, and for smaller 'downstream' users, and how to comply with the regulations in areas such as protecting operators, persons affected by work, and the environment.

The afternoon session will look at specific aspects of the REACH requirements, such as DNELs (Derived No Effect Levels), ESs (Exposure Scenarios), RMMs (Risk Management Measures) and extended MSDSs (Manufacturers' Safety Data Sheets).

Speakers include representatives from BOHS, HSE, industry and consultancies.
