BOHS is launching Research Funding Programme.

The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) is launching a Research Funding Programme.

Up to £20,000 will be available annually to provide financial support for research in occupational hygiene and its underlying sciences and technology.

Proposals will normally be considered by BOHS's Research Committee twice a year, with the first closing date for applications on 30th September 2007.

The general aim of any BOHS-supported research should be the elimination or reduction of risks to health at the workplace, or their control at lower cost, and applications will be considered for projects meeting this general aim, for example on: Chemical, physical and biological agents.

Measurement and modelling of exposure.

Behavioural aspects of exposure control.

Effectiveness of PPE.

Practical implementation of the Principles of Good Control Practice.

Education and training.

The full scope of the funding programme is available within the 'Education and Training' section of BOHS's website, along with details of how to apply.
