Metalworking Fluids and Dermatitis Webinar: 15.00, 4th September 2007.

Exposure to metalworking fluids is linked to a high prevalence of dermatitis, although the exact cause is poorly understood In this Webinar, John Cherrie, who is Research Director at the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Edinburgh and President of BOHS, will provide some background information about dermatitis and its causes, along with the results from laboratory and field studies to investigate the key factors in causing dermatitis in this industry

John will also put forward a number of practical recommendations for controlling dermatitis risks as part of the Webinar, and occupational health professionals in engineering and anyone else responsible for people working with metalworking fluids should consider taking part.

It will last for approximately one hour, and costs just £30 (£20 for members of BOHS) which includes all phone charges from within the UK.

What is a Webinar? Simply a live, web-based tutorial with voice communication by a conventional conference telephone call.

All you need to take part is a computer with a (preferably) broadband connection, and a phone.

Participants log onto a specific website to see the visual presentation and listen to the commentary over the phone, and can ask questions and debate issues throughout.
