Exhaust ventilation guidance updated

A British Occupational Hygiene Society product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 11, 2008

An upcoming BOHS seminar provides a timely opportunity to improve understanding of exposure control and how LEV fits in, as well as a chance to see the new LEV guidance, directly from the HSE

Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) is used in many businesses.

Some use it as an integral part of their risk control system, but others simply view it as a series of pipes that move air from A to B.

The HSE is aiming to improve exposure controls and is launching revised guidance on LEV design and testing in May 2008.

This BOHS seminar provides a timely opportunity to improve understanding of exposure control and how LEV fits in, as well as a chance to see the new LEV guidance, directly from the HSE.

It will cover the practical application of LEV: what works, what doesn't and why.

An exhibition demonstrating key elements of a working LEV system will be on display.

There will be plenty of time to network with colleagues and learn from others.

Bookings can be made on-line via the Event Calendar on the BOHS website, where the full programme and venue details are also posted.
