New standards for welded steel tubes

The long awaited BS EN10296:2003 "Welded steel tubes for mechanical and general engineering purposes - Technical delivery conditions - Part 1: Non-alloy and alloy steel tubes" has now been published.

The long awaited BS EN10296:2003 "Welded steel tubes for mechanical and general engineering purposes - Technical delivery conditions - Part 1: Non-alloy and alloy steel tubes" has now been published The standard specifies the technical delivery conditions for but-welded, electric welded and submerged arc welded tubes of circular cross-section made of non-alloy and alloy steels, used for mechanical and general engineering purposes

The chemical composition, delivery condition, mechanical properties, technological requirements, dimensions and tolerances are also specified.

It supersedes parts of the BS6323 series of standards.

The standard is priced at GBP 74, or GBP 37 to BSI Subscribing Members.
