Standard sets transmission belt specs
British Standards has just published a new edition of BS3790, a full revision of the standard used by the power transmission industry.
British Standards has just published a new edition of BS3790, a full revision of the standard used by the power transmission industry BS3790:2006 "Specification for belt drives: Endless wedge belts, endless V-belts, banded wedge belts, banded V-belts and their corresponding pulleys" specifies the dimensions properties of endless wedge belts, V-belts and equivalent banded belts and their corresponding grooved pulleys, when used for power transmission
BS3790:2006 supersedes BS 3790:1995 which has now been withdrawn.
