BS EN 62305:2006 Protection against lightning.
Parts 1-4.
The four parts of BS EN 62305 provide the general principles to be followed in the protection against lightning.
The parts are applicable to all buildings, new and existing and cover: * Structures including their installations and contents as well as people.
* Services connected to a structure.
* Risk assessment for a structure or for a service due to lightning flashes to earth.
* The procedure for the evaluation of an upper tolerable limit for a risk.
* The requirements for protection of a structure against physical damage by means of a lightning protection system (LPS).
* Protection, in and around a structure, against physical damage and human injury due to touch and step voltages.
* Information for the design, installation, inspection, maintenance and testing of a Lightning Electromagnetic Pulse (LEMP) protection measures system (LPMS) for electrical and electronic systems within a structure.
