How to use BS 25999 in BCM strategy.

Following on from the success of the oversubscribed conference in December 2006, the British Standards Institution (BSI) has released a new conference date for guidance on how to use BS 25999, the New British Standard on Business Continuity Management in BCM strategy Over 60 per cent of FTSE 250 companies now recognise the business benefits of Business Continuity Management (BCM) in terms of reducing risk, satisfying customer requirements, remaining competitive and winning new business

But many companies still put themselves risk: 46 per cent said it would take less than a day for a serious disruption to significantly impact business.

To help organisations of all sizes and sectors be better prepared for disruption or disaster BSI has produced BS 25999 - the new standard for BCM published at the end of 2006.

The 'How to use BS 25999 in BCM Strategy' conference on 27 February will explain why BS 25999 is needed, what it covers, and the benefits of its implementation to your organization - large or small.

It is also key for public sector responders as it is reference in the Civil Contingencies Act.

The conference will include information on how BS 25999: Meets strategic, organizational, regulatory and legislative requirements; Provides effective BCM frameworks; Fits with your existing processes and systems - including supply chains; Works with civil contingencies/emergency plans; Benefits your business; Impacts on your future.
