Big order for digitised data QA from power firm

After being awarded a £1.6 million order, Cad-Capture will be responsible for the quality assurance of digitised data for United Utilities' electricity supply network in the North West of England

Document service provider Cad-Capture has been awarded a £1.6 million order by United Utilities for specialist document management services.

Cad-Capture will be responsible for the quality assurance of digitised data for United Utilities' electricity supply network throughout the North West of England.

The contract is an important element in United Utilities' plans to implement an area wide GIS based information management system for its network and will involve the processing of over 200,000 maps.

It is anticipated the project will take up to 2 years to complete.

Cad-Capture's Sales Manager, Jeremy Pilgrim said "This is an important contract for Cad-Capture and United Utilities and a lot of hard work has gone into winning this order.
