A new range of interlocking vertical PCB connectors feature rising clamp terminals to provide secure connection of cables.

A new range of interlocking vertical PCB connectors feature rising clamp terminals to provide secure connection of cables.

The new vertical terminal blocks are available in two sizes offering 6.35mm pitch (CTB04VY) and 9.52mm pitch (CTB04VZ).

Both sizes are available with two or three poles and units interlock allowing terminal blocks to built up to any length.

The insulating body is moulded in green UL94V0 flame retardant PA68.

Specifications include 32A nominal current, 450 or 750V rating (6.35 and 9.52mm pitch, respectively), combination head M3 cable screw and zinc-plated copper rising clamp with nickel/tin-plated zinc-copper contacts.

Both 6.35 and 9.52mm sizes accept up to 4mm2 section cable (10 to 30AWG) and require PCB mounting holes of 1.3mm diameter.

Insulation resistance is 10Mohm with dielectric strength of 2500V AC for 6.35mm pitch terminals and 3000V AC for 9.52mm pitch versions.

Maximum operating temperature is 125C.

With VDE, IMQ and UL approvals pending, Camden Electronics' new CTB04VY/Z connectors offer a convenient method of creating a custom length PCB terminal block for secure cable connection in a wide variety of electrical installations and lighting equipment applications.
