Camtek has finalised a worldwide distribution agreement with Delcam, the UK CADCAM software developer, whereby Delcam will resell the company's wire erosion software, PEPS Wire EDM.
Camtek has finalised a worldwide distribution agreement with Delcam, the UK CADCAM software developer, whereby Delcam will resell the company's wire erosion software, PEPS Wire EDM.
Camtek's PEPS Wire EDM is a powerful system for programming virtually all wire EDM machines, including Agie, Charmilles, Hitachi, Sodick and the full Mitsubishi range.
"The addition of PEPS Wire will fill an important gap within Delcam's range of software", explained Delcam's International Sales Director, Tim Mitchell.
"Our lack of a wire erosion option has been frustrating both for our users that prefer to source all of their CADCAM requirements from a single supplier and for our resellers that want to supply a complete tool-making solution to their customers." "We are particularly pleased to be able to offer the Camtek package, complementing as it does the strengths of our existing Power Solution range of products.
It also combines advanced functionality with a clear, Windows-style interface that makes the software easy to use." Brian Warner, Managing Director of Camtek was equally enthusiastic about the agreement.
"The addition of Delcam's extensive distribution network to our existing channels will help us reinforce and accelerate our already strong position in the wire erosion software market", he commented.
"Like ourselves, Delcam places a strong emphasis on customer support to ensure that users gain maximum benefit from their investment in CADCAM software." Although available immediately in its present form through Delcam's international sales network, development work is also under way to more tightly integrate PEPS Wire EDM into Delcam's Power Solution software range.
