Camtek's Pentacut and Tubecut software is now in use by many industries worldwide.

Camtek's Pentacut and Tubecut software is now in use by many industries worldwide.

This solid-based expert system can import CAD files from many different formats, including: Iges, Step, Parasolid, Catia, Pro E, UG, Solidworks, Solid Edge, ACIS-SAT, VDA, DGK etc.

The system can apply five-axis cutting tool paths onto simple or complex surfaces allowing trims and apertures to be cut.

The software checks for possible collisions with the machine and will move the cutting head to avoid them.

The cutting sequence and machine kinematics are simulated in realistic solids.

There is no need to purchase expensive fixtures, Pentacut can automatically design and manufacture the required fixture from flat plates that can be slotted together to hold the part.

There is a tube cutting option that will design intersecting tubular components of any section and automatically generate the required apertures.

The cutting path is then applied and the cutting sequence simulated in solids.

Special features exist for generating bevelled edges of various types.
