ScotCAM takes software north of the border

A Camtek product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 20, 2004

Camtek has appointed ScotCAM as an agent for its CADCAM products in Scotland.

Camtek has appointed ScotCAM as an agent for its CADCAM products in Scotland.

ScotCAM, based in Wishaw, Lanarkshire will be offering the complete range of Camtek's PEPS suite of CADCAM solutions, which cover milling, turning, wire EDM and multi-axis laser technologies.

Pat Loughrin, Managing Director of ScotCAM commented: "As an experienced CNC engineer, particularly with over 15 years in oil related industries, I know the problems that programmers and designers can be faced with every day.

I wanted to be able to offer a good, reliable CADCAM system to my customers.

I am very pleased with the relationship with Camtek, and to be appointed as the PEPS reseller for Scotland.

I see our business as being a 'technical friend' for our customers, one that provides efficient help, support and training.

Our clients need to be able to be efficient in the manufacture of their products, and have the tools available to them that will allow them to meet or beat increasingly shorter delivery timescales".

Terry Antrobus, Director of Sales and Marketing for Camtek added: "We are particularly pleased to appoint ScotCAM to sell and support our products in Scotland, coupled with some co-operation with us in the North of England.

We have known Pat Loughrin for a number of years, and his CAM and CNC experience - particularly for the special requirements of the oil and gas industries - along with his enthusiasm and technical approach to business will be of tremendous benefit to both new and existing PEPS users within the region".
