Seminars explain SolidWorks 2004
SolidWorks recently unveiled a new version of its market-leading 3D mechanical design software, and Cadtek Systems has immediately set about providing hands-on access to engineers across the country.
E3.Series is produced by German electrical design specialist, CIM-Team, and distributed in the UK by Cadtek.
"We have been working closely with CIM-Team to formulate a pricing strategy for this exciting new product line," says Allan Behrens, Cadtek Vice Chairman.
"The result is unlike anything the industry has ever seen before: an integrated, scaleable ECAD solution which is truly viable for organisations of all sizes, from the smallest jobbing shop to the largest distributed enterprise." E3.Series (Electrical and Electronic Engineering for Professionals) is made up of state-of-the-art design tools which support the different disciplines in electrical and electronic engineering in the mechanical, plant and automotive industries.

Successful conference attracts best audience
This year's Altair technology conference attracted an audience of over 250 engineering professionals.
E3.Series modules include tools for conventional electrical engineering, for development and structuring of cables and cable harnesses, and for printed circuit board (PCB) design.
E3.Series can therefore satisfy the electrical and electronic design needs of any company, regardless of its specialty, in a single, integrated environment.
Although E3.Series draws on the power of established CIM-Team products, such as DDS-C, the object-based electrical schematic design solution, E3.Series has been written from scratch as a new true Windows product suite.
It combines object-based functionality with efficient use of the familiar operating system to give consistent and logical ease of operation across the different electrical and electronic applications.
Pricing will start at just £1,295 for E3.Schema, the entry-level electrical schematic design module.
E3.Schema will offer fully functioned object based schematic design - including terminal block layout - for projects of up to 30 sheets.
The entry-level cable design module, E3.Cable, goes on sale for the same price.
For unlimited schematic or cable design, the price rises to £4,250, and there are a number of attractive upgrade and floating license options, thus ensuring maximum scalability.
"Many electrical engineering companies will never encounter a project that requires more than 30 sheets of design," says Allan.
"We can now fulfill all cabling and schematic engineering needs for these companies for as little as £1,295, a fraction of the current going rate.
And I am confident that those who need multi-user and bigger project capacity will struggle to find a better deal.".
