Cadtek Systems has just completed its annual series of upgrade events provided to all its SolidWorks supported customers.

Each day-long event is used to introduce users to the latest features and benefits of the newest release of SolidWorks, in this case SolidWorks 2006.

The upgrade events are considered one of the keystones in Cadtek's support service.

The format of the day includes a series of breakout sessions that allow users to focus on a specific area of interest.

This year sweeping and lofting, annotations and Cosmos formed the basis of the in-depth reviews.

Cadtek's fully certified engineers are on hand throughout the day to provide expertise and analysis of the new release.

For customers the advantages to the day are clear.

Upgrading to a new release always holds some trepidation: What's changed? Is there a new learning curve to go through? What is the best approach to implementing the upgrade?.

The presentations made throughout the upgrade event are designed to offer an important insight to what to expect and answer the most common questions.

Engineers are able to highlight SolidWorks users to the most significant changes and distill the advantages into relevant demonstrations to help managers and users alike determine the quickest and most beneficial route to deploying the new release.

Feedback provided from customers attending the 2006 upgrades gave a 98% approval rating, with similar ratings for marks about presentations, questions answered and timetabling.

Events were held in Tonbridge, Reading, Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.
