Interface suits RandD steering wheels

A Caesar Datasystems product story

The CANbus interface enables both programming and on-line data transfer with data rates up to 1Mbit/s.

A CANbus interface option is now available from Caesar DataSystems for the complete range of model CL telemetry measuring steering wheels for cars, passenger coaches, trucks and heavy trucks.

The CL series steering wheels are widely used in the automotive industry for research and development into steering, handling and comfort of vehicles.

The precision sensors can simultaneously acquire steering torque, angle, angular speed, rotational acceleration, and vibration in three axes.

Both data and power are coupled wirelessly for continuous operation.

No wires to hinder normal steering movement.

The CANbus interface enables both programming and on-line data transfer with data rates up to 1Mbit/s.

The new configuration software makes a fast and simple set up possible with "Plug and Play" comfort.

The most important parameters are either read in automatically or default to meaningful values.

A QuickLook function still permits a system check to be carried out before beginning the actual measurement.

The software supports many different industry standard CAN interfaces - for example from Vector and Kvaser.

Existing measuring steering wheel systems can be retrofitted with the CAN interface if required.
