Solid state relays keep installation
simple
The new RS and RM 'hockey puck' style solid state relays from Carlo Gavazzi are designed for resistive, capacitive and inductive loads up to 100AAC rms and 600VAC rms.
The new RS and RM 'hockey puck' style solid state relays from Carlo Gavazzi are designed for resistive, capacitive and inductive loads up to 100AAC rms and 600VAC rms The potting has been eliminated from the power and control circuitry and the new relays incorporate features which optimise device performance, handling and ease of mounting

Plastic bodies cut price of photo sensors
Carlo Gavazzi has launched a new range of photo sensors in M18 housings, significantly lower in price thanks to the use of rugged plastic bodies rather than metal
Two standard ranges include one for resistive loads and the other for resistive, capacitive and inductive loads.
All relays have an LED indicator and are touch protected with a removable, clip-on IP20 compliant cover.
The relays are clearly labelled to allow easy identification, even when the cover is removed.
All input and output terminals are self-lifting and allow load cables up to 16mm2 to be securely clamped, while retaining the touch-safety feature.
There are two primary sets of accesories, fast-on tabs and stand off spacers.
Fast-ons are suitable for applications where the load current is limited, and are commonly used in testing and office equipment.
The plated-brass spacers can be used to connect large wire sections in high current applications (75A, 100A) or as stand-offs for assemblies mounted exactly above the relay.
Also available are single and dual relay heatsinks and fans and a touch safety cover.
The RM series includes a number of devices with built in varistor and can handle direct starting of motors up to 18.5kW.
Mounting holes can withstand up to 2Nm torque and both ranges are UL, CSA and CE marked.
