Fieldbus aids energy monitoring
Carlo Gavazzi provides a powerful and reliable solution based on the Dupline fieldbus whenever energy, water or gas metering data collection is required.
Carlo Gavazzi provides a powerful and reliable solution based on the Dupline fieldbus whenever energy, water or gas metering data collection is required A lot of situations and different needs: share the energy costs according to the actual user's consumption in big campsites or tourist ports; split the total costs of energy, water and gas in commercial or apartment buildings; allocate the energy costs to the various departments or to the different production batches in the industrial applications; establish a power management program in the industrial facilities; avoid or reduce the extra costs due to the Climate Change Levy

Plastic bodies cut price of photo sensors
Carlo Gavazzi has launched a new range of photo sensors in M18 housings, significantly lower in price thanks to the use of rugged plastic bodies rather than metal
One single and simple solution involves the combined use of the energy meters and power analysers belonging to the energy management family and the two-wire Dupline fieldbus - two leading Carlo Gavazzi products.
The measuring instrument can be chosen in the wide Carlo Gavazzi portfolio according to the actual necessity, starting from the low-end electromechanical meters up to the high performance power quality analyser, passing through the new medium range DIN-rail mounting products.
Every meter or analyser can be equipped with a digital output module able to retransmit, by means of pulses, both the active and reactive energy.
The pulses from up to four meters have to be collected by the new Dupline counter module.
Through the Dupline bus, a single twisted pair of wires or two spare wires in a suitable existing cable, the master generator reads the single counter module information and feeds them to a PC.
Each system can support up to 128 meters.
The Dupline DDE server software allows the user to establish dynamic link between a Dupline counter and a cell in an Excel spreadsheet.
So, using a simple and widespread software, as Excel is, it is possible to monitor all the meters at a glance and the relevant data can be displayed in any required way (lists, charts, numerical fields or any other combination).
Controlling Dupline digital addresses is possible using Excel as well.
This solution is suitable to be used where long-distance connections are required or whenever the monitoring of the energy consumption has to be performed in high EMI environments.
