Ralcom Director Nigel Ralf will head up the expanded UK business, which is to be located at Carlo Gavazzi's existing UK office and warehouse in Aldershot.
"There is fantastic synergy between our strategy to expand in the UK, and Ralcom's established operation", said Ubaldo de Blasio, Director of Strategies and Planning at Carlo Gavazzi.
"Ralcom brings us established relationships with a great many UK customers, and a talented and experienced sales team.
With Nigel Ralf's knowledge and understanding of UK customers, and access to the broader Carlo Gavazzi product ranges, we expect to develop quickly in the UK".
Nigel Ralf, Carlo Gavazzi's newly appointed UK General Manager, added: "We will continue to offer Ralcom's existing customers the same service and support, and the same quality products, as we always have, plus a whole new range of Carlo Gavazzi solutions.
The innovative and growing range of safety and security products as well as energy management solutions are of particular relevance to a great many customers, in the current regulatory and industry environment.
Our expanded range of sensors, switching and control solutions will enable us to extend our relationship with many accounts".
The acquisition will allow Carlo Gavazzi to increase its sales force and sales volume by 50% and has resulted in a need for additional personnel based in Aldershot.
Ralcom's existing customers will continue to receive full and even enhanced technical and sales support for their range of sensors and automation control products whilst having a single source for Carlo Gavazzi's much broader product range.
