Plastic bodies cut price of photo sensors
Carlo Gavazzi has launched a new range of photo sensors in M18 housings, significantly lower in price thanks to the use of rugged plastic bodies rather than metal
It can monitor more parameters than previous units including power factor on individual phases and harmonic distortion up to the 16th harmonic.
The highly flexible WM23-96 has a wide selection of analogue output signals available and displays up to four variables simultaneously.
The WM24-96 is a universal utility meter and power analyser, designed for the simultaneous monitoring of electricity, gas and water supplies.
Each unit is able to perform both four-quadrant reactive power and energy measurements as well as the imported and exported active ones.
In addition the WM24-96 has inputs for monitoring the electrical variables of up to four energy-period tariffs and has outputs for measuring energy consumption and alarms.
This new device fills the gap between Carlo Gavazzi's basic units and the Top Rex range of powerful energy management devices.
Both devices measure just 96 x 96mm, feature a built-in programming keypad, a four-sector 3.5-digit backlit LCD, have a programme lock selector switch and offer front protection rated to IP65.
Both are fully modular, enabling users to specify their exact requirements or add extra functions at a later date.
