Carlo Gavazzi has launched a new range of photo sensors in M18 housings, significantly lower in price thanks to the use of rugged plastic bodies rather than metal
The DPA51 multivoltage phase sequence and loss relay measures just 17.5 x 81 x 67.5mm, and is thought to be the smallest of its kind available, saving both space and costs.
In lift applications the device quickly detects phase loss enabling the car to be put in a safe status, preventing motor burnout, overheating and additional costs.
The device monitors its own three-phase power supply and the relay operates when all the phases are present and the phase sequence is correct.
The relay releases when one phase neutral voltage drops below 70% of the other phase-neutral voltages or when the phase sequence is wrong.
Carlo Gavazzi's NA1/2-D Lift safety relay has been designed specifically for the lift market to distinguish false signals and to be immune to very small interruptions caused by unstable power, therefore preventing un-necessary maintenance calls.
The module maintains the safety function during the levelling procedure which is normally caused by the load variations when people are getting in and out.
NA1/2-D Lift is certified to conform to Lift Directives 95/16/EC, EN 81-1 and EN 81-2.
The new FSLP range of magnetic sensors is totally sealed and dipped in resin to provide maximum insulation and durability in the dirty and dusty environments experienced in lift and elevator shafts.
The new sensors are supplied with a mounting kit to ensure fast and accurate installation and Carlo Gavazzi is also able to offer fully customised solutions.
The Dupline bus system is a simple three wire structure providing a quick and easy diagnosis and troubleshooting method.
Its high noise immunity gives limited risk of false troubleshooting, reducing maintenance call out and intervention costs, making it ideal for lift and elevator applications.
