Hickman to lead UK sales and customer support

Carlo Gavazzi has appointed Alan Hickman as Sales and Marketing Director to lead the company's sales and customer support operations in the UK.

Carlo Gavazzi has appointed Alan Hickman as Sales and Marketing Director to lead the company's sales and customer support operations in the UK.

Commenting on his new position, Hickman said: "Carlo Gavazzi has a successful and well-supported UK operation with a track record of success in the market".

"I am looking forward to building and extending this operation, especially with a view to developing new markets and customers for new Carlo Gavazzi ranges as they emerge".

Hickman comes to Carlo Gavazzi with 24 years in the process and factory automation industry and has developed a wealth of experience in the UK, European and International arenas.

He joins from Danaher Industrial Controls, where he was Export Manager of the Industrial Controls Group European manufactured products.

He was promoted to this position from UK Country Manager for Hengstler and West Instruments.

He has also held positions with Miltronics and Compair Maxam.

He started his career as toolmaker at GEC Turbine Generators.
