Carlo Gavazzi UK is introducing a new family of loop detectors aimed at vehicle detection for secure access systems.

The new LDP loop detectors offer inexpensive, flexible and simple setup of vehicle detection sensors to safeguard automatic doors, shutters, swing gates, barriers and fences.

The LDP family of loop detectors from Carlo Gavazzi UK feature automatic calibration and manual fine tuning of detection levels allowing users to quickly set sensitivity levels and allow users to apply compensation for variations.

A sensitivity boost function is also included to reduce the risk of failing to detect high-bed vehicles.

The compact LDP family provides two variants: LDP1 consists of a single loop detector and has both pulse and presence relay outputs; LDP2 consists of two loops with separate relays giving a pulse output according to the direction of the vehicle.

Loop frequency is selectable to prevent crosstalk between adjacent loops and a built in on-delay before output feature prevents false detection of small or fast moving objects passing the loop.
