New pluggable solid state relays allow panels to be designed smaller and assembled more quickly and more cost-effectively.

Carlo Gavazzi has introduced new pluggable solid state relays, allowing panels to be designed smaller and assembled more quickly and more cost-effectively.

The plug-in system allows technical staff to pre-wire the cable harness outside the panel, reducing the time and skill necessary to complete the final panel assembly accurately.

To further assist compact panel design, these modules are the smallest available up to 32A rating and are suitable for mains voltage applications in all territories worldwide.

The modules can be DIN rail mounted when used with the appropriate DIN rail clip and heatsink.

They use the same mounting hole spacing as standard hockey pucks, enabling easy integration into standard panels.

Assembly is extremely fast, since both power and control terminals plug directly into the pre-mountable base module.

With Faston, screw or spring terminal connection options available, OEMs, panel builders and end users can choose the termination style that meets their requirements for assembly speed or tooling requirements, and matches operator training levels.

The modularity of this new relay system also allows designers to build the precise number of relays and switching configurations required for any given application.

The removable modules also enable fast fault finding in the field, with coding provided to prevent incorrect re-insertion.

The new pluggable solid state relay system, including base modules and all variants of plug-in power and control terminals, meet recognised IEC standards, and carry UL and CE approvals.

Small size, high ratings and easy, error-free assembly make Carlo Gavazzi's pluggable relays a strong choice in industrial machines for many processes including plastic moulding, packaging, printing and textiles to chemical processing, as well as vending machines, commercial or residential HVAC systems, and many similar applications.
