Socket-Safe is a steel enclosure that locks away sockets and plugs to avoid unauthorised or accidental switching on or off of electrical equipment.

Unauthorised or accidental switching on or off of electrical equipment can have serious consequences for safety and efficiency To combat this problem Castell Iso-Lok has introduced the Socket-Safe, a steel enclosure that locks away sockets and plugs

It brings permanent control to all equipment using three-pin socket outlets.

In many circumstances electrical equipment must not be connected to a supply or switched on, for example during maintenance or if the equipment has failed a routine portable appliance test.

In other cases it is the loss of power which must be avoided.

Severe disruption can be caused if a computer network server is unplugged, and stocks of frozen food or laboratory samples may be lost if refrigeration equipment is disconnected, or switched off.

Socket-Safe prevents unauthorised or accidental connection or disconnection of equipment to a power source.

Easily fitted to all standard outlets, it is available in single or twin versions, and in stainless steel for use where there is a risk of corrosion.

"Plugged-in" versions allow for electric cable to enter the enclosure and for plugs to be trapped inside, either turned permanently on or off.

"Unplugged" versions completely enclose a power outlet, denying all access to it.
