Cat Pumps launches Model 3560 plunger pump

A CAT Pumps product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 3, 2009

Cat Pumps has extended its 35 frame plunger pump range with the introduction of the Model 3560.

Building on the performance of the 3520 Series, the Model 3560 has a high-strength pumphead and is capable of providing pressure up to 275bar and flow rates of 76 litres per minute.

Featuring an uprated drive end, the 3560 provides a high output from a pump of this size, weight and cost, according to the company.

Being a triplex plunger design, the 3560 gives a constant smooth flow, making it suitable for a range of industrial processing, cleaning and pressure-jetting duties.

The V-packings are fully lubricated and are cooled by the pumped liquid, while the Lubricated Lo-Pressure seals provide protection against external leakage.

The high-strength connecting rods and plunger rods, together with oversized crankshaft bearings, give a greater load capacity and a longer drive-end and bearing life.

Brian Hubbard, general manager, said: 'With its lightweight and compact size, the 3560 will appeal to a broad range of original equipment designers looking to extend the performance of their own plant and processing systems.

'We have already sold a number of the pumps into Ireland through Euroquipe, where they are being used on a mobile road washing plant,' he added.

Barry Holland, sales manager at Euroquipe, said: 'Because these tankers are sold as multi-function machines for applications, such as road washing, drain jetting and other high-pressure washing, they are under constant demand and the customers cannot afford downtime.'.
