C-Cubed enhances predictive maintenance software

A C-Cubed product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 7, 2008

C-Cubed has launched version 8 of its handheld predictive maintenance tool Pocket Vibra and Freetrend software at Maintain 2008, the international Trade Fair for Industrial Maintenance in Munich.

The new version of Pocket Vibra, the vibration analysis and condition monitoring tool for predictive maintenance, will improve machine uptime, said C-Cubed.

Based around a rugged and waterproof handheld unit with a colour display, Pocket Vibra takes signals from an accelerometer, positioned by the user using a magnet mount, processes them based on ISO and pre-loaded interpretation algorithms and presents the data separated into categories indicating bearing, balance and alignment faults.

Historical test data is presented graphically by the included Freetrend software to predict when machine readings are likely to go out of acceptable range.
