CCI has received a million-dollar order from the Techint Argentina Headquarters for the supply of severe service valves for the OCP SA pipeline in Ecuador.

The valves range in size from 200-406mm, with design pressures up to 130bar g, and at temperatures that range up to 93C.

When installed, these valves will be located in the remote inland fields of Lago-Agrio in Ecuador through the Ecuadorian Andes mountains with drop heights of up to 300m to the Marine Terminal on the Pacific ocean at Esmeraldas harbour.

Severe conditions such as a viscous fluid and an ambient temperature that varies from 0 to 36C, were some of the reasons that CCI's advanced DRAG multistage valve technology was chosen.

Over a period of years, this technology has proven to be capable of reliably handling high pressure drops where required with low noise and vibration, a high degree of controllability, and long service life.
