Thermal inspection on show

At the recent Maintec 2003 maintenance exhibition Cockburn Thermal Imaging focused on applications of its patented CTI Cyclops thermographic inspection window.

At the recent Maintec 2003 maintenance exhibition Cockburn Thermal Imaging focused on applications of its patented CTI Cyclops thermographic inspection window Visitors saw a real-time demonstration of the company's infra-red sightglasses with one of Cockburn's specially designed demonstration units

The unit was set up, complete with a "dummy" electrical fault, inside the purpose-built piece of electrical switchgear.

The switchgear was fitted with CTI Cyclops inspection windows, and through those windows the tripod-mounted Flir thermal imaging camera provided real-time imaging, detecting the switchgear's apparent fault.
