Hawk IR International has announced the approval of the Hawk IR range of Infrared (IR) windows, sightglasses and view ports by Canadian Standards Association (CSA)

The Hawk IR products approved may be used on various pieces of electrical equipment and are rated by CSA for use on Type 3/12 (C-Range) and Type 1 (M-Range).

Hawk IR International are currently the only IR window manufacturer to have products approved by CSA.

This groundbreaking achievement is another world first for Hawk IR International whose range of IR window and sightglass products also comply with worldwide standards such as; IEEE/ANSI C37, IEC62271-100/200, BS:EN60529, UL (Underwriters Laboratories), NEMKO, Lloyds of London.

"Hawk IR International is committed to continual product development and research in order to provide our customers with maximum safety and confidence".

explains Tony Holliday, Sales Director at Hawk IR International.

"As the market tends toward arc flash awareness and safety, especially with the adoption of NFPA70E by a large portion of industry, such testing is of paramount importance to conscientious manufacturers and end users alike".

IR windows revolutionise standard safety practices when it comes to electrical safety and infrared thermography.

By allowing IR thermography to occur with the system live and on load without removing covers or removing doors, IR windows increase both safety and efficiency for minimal cost.
