A major worldwide manufacturer of LV switchgear has adopted the Hawk IR range of IR Windows and viewports to provide customers with a safe means of inspecting live electrical equipment.

A major worldwide manufacturer of LV switchgear has adopted the Hawk IR range of IR windows and viewports in order to provide customers with a safe means of inspecting online electrical equipment.

Offered both as either a field installed (retro-fit) or factory fitted option the IR windows and viewports are being well received in all market sectors with the NFPA70E electrical safety standard, driving the increase in safety awareness, especially in the electrical IR thermography community.

Due to arc-flash hazards, it is not practically and/or safe to remove large, heavy covers to all IR inspection.

The recent addition of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approval, along with extensive arc-flash testing ensures maximum safety and confidence.

To ensure compliance with such strict certifications, the Hawk IR range is manufactured to ISO9001:2000 quality standards, something unique in the industry.
