Loop controllers manufacturer RKC has joined the CLPA (CC-Link Partner Association) and has connected its SR series onto CC-Link.

The SR Mini is a stand-alone multiloop PID controller system that can be used in a variety of temperature and process control applications, with a modular design which enables din rail mounted controller to connect up to eight single or dual loop modules to one system controller CPU.

The system controller CPU acts as a power supply and communications interface, allowing the bank of PID modules to communicate to a host of interfaces such as CC-Link and RS422A.

The CPU also acts as a common alarm register for all the connected modules, covering aspects such as power failure, and the constant monitoring of all the connected PID modules for operational integrity.

Each loop module provides auto-tuning PID functions for a wide range of input and output signals, with an accuracy of 0.1% over all operating conditions and a sampling rate down to 0.1s (resolution down to 0.01C is available when using RTD high-accuracy inputs).

The SR system is so intelligent that a HMI or PC can be connected directly onto the system controller module, which allows users to have a visual interface to monitor and set up and tune individual PID loops.
