CLPA has a myriad of branches across Asia that it can put at the service of UK OEMs in helping to market their products.

CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) is offering to support UK OEMs operating in Asian markets by providing assistance with the integration of CC-Link network technologies into their systems, and even by providing marketing support via CLPA branches throughout the region CC-Link is by far the dominant networking technology in Asia, and is growing quickly across the rest of the world, with an installed base of over 4 million nodes

But CLPA recognises that many European OEMs will not yet be as familiar with or as confident around CC-Link as they are with other network options, and that this lack of familiarity may well be costing companies contracts in the East.

CLPA-Europe General Manager Steve Jones comments: "CC-Link is a networking technology that was developed in Japan, and has a dominance across Asia that no other network in any other region even comes close to matching".

"When we talk about CC-Link enjoying a market share in Japan, for example, of 45%, then it quickly becomes clear that OEMs who use CC-Link will have a natural advantage when it comes to doing business in Asia".

"I am confident that the UK's OEMs are developing products that rival anything being developed in Asia", he continues.

"And by providing these companies with additional support in integrating CC-Link into their products and marketing those products to the Asian audience, we can help enhance their competitive advantage and enable OEMs to deliver solutions which are absolutely compelling".

CLPA has a myriad of branches across Asia that it can put at the service of UK OEMs in helping to market their products, and is also rapidly growing its network of European branches, and with it the ability to deliver local support in integrating CC-Link technology.

Nodes of CC-Link sold per annum now exceed 600,000, and sales of CC-Link products are increasing dramatically across Europe, with leading European automation equipment vendors embracing the technology.

And for OEMs looking for a comprehensive solution for the equipment they are selling in the Asian market - as well as into other markets where there is an unwillingness to accept either a European- or a US-derived technology - CC-Link ticks all the boxes by offering industrial Ethernet, fieldbus, safety-specific, and bit-bus level options.
