The Cimclean range of metalworking cleaning fluids has already proved itself to be such a success that one customer has been able to replace a two part process with a single cleaning operation with one of the new products The application in which a customer was able to streamline his manufacturing operation involved the use of Cimclean PC210F which eliminated the need for two competitive products - a separate wash and rinse fluid during the production of steel crankshafts in an automotive engine plant

Novel composite improves prototyping performance
Accelerated Technologies can now produce rapid prototypes in a new, ceramic-filled material for stereolithography.
Using a two-stage high pressure spray washer with Cimclean PC210F at 2-3% fluid concentration, cleanliness was improved, washer life was doubled and the process did not interfere with subsequent gauging.
Another customer, a manufacture of automotive fasteners, using Cimclean PC220F for wash and rinse operations on steel lug nut fasteners prior to heat treating and zinc plating needed a low pH (<10) cleaner due to ultra filtration wastewater treatment.
Cimclean PC220F was found to provide good cleanliness, in-process corrosion protection and does not interfere with heat treatment or plating.
A manufacturer of components for off road vehicles has used a third product, Cimclean PC240NF, with great results.
In this instance, die cast aluminium transmission casings are cleaned using a two-stage pressure spray washer with Cimclean PC240NF concentration of 2%.
The customer reports excellent cleanliness with low foaming and not only does Cimclean PC240NF leave fewer water spots than the previous cleaner but it has even removed old rust from the conveyor chain, washer cabinet, etc.
Cimclean cleaning fluids for the metalworking market are available in the UK from Cimcool Europe B.V.
of Corby, the range of products includes not only ferrous and non ferrous Parts Cleaners but also System and Floor Cleaners.
