6U CompactPCI Board features Flip-Chip Pentium III
Concurrent Technologies has announced the release of the PP EMB/P34 Peripheral Slot Controller CPU board, a single slot 6U CompactPCI Board featuring the Flip-Chip Pentium III processor.
The adapter is targeted at applications that require high data throughput and low latency.
This PMC adapter provides high speed networking through the use of two Intel 82543 Gigabit Ethernet controllers.
The controllers, each with a large FIFO, allow the board to automatically transfer rates of 1Gbit/s via the optical fibre interface.
The interface supports the IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standard and uses two robust SC optical connectors.
The CL PMC/GB2 is a single-size card and is compliant with the CMC (Common Mezzanine Card) specification.
The adapter complies with the PCI specification, features 3.3 or 5V signalling and 32 or 64bit transfers, can operate at 33 or 66MHz and has bus master capability.
In addition, base address and interrupt selection is software configurable.
This board can be used with Concurrent Technologies' CompactPCI, VME, Multibus II, or with any other PMC compliant host board.
Operating systems supported include Windows NT Windows 2000, VxWorks, Linux and Solaris.
