IEE endorsement for CDA

A Copper Development Association product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 12, 2002

The Copper Development Association has become accepted as an "IEE endorsed provider of training seminars and learning resources".

The Copper Development Association has become the latest company to join the IEE's new CPD scheme and meet the stringent conditions to become accepted as an "IEE endorsed provider of training seminars and learning resources".

Under the new scheme, it is the organisation that gains approval rather than individual events and publications.

CDA had to demonstrate that it sets high standards for itself, that lecturers and presenters have appropriate qualifications and up-to-date knowledge and that adequate quality assurance procedures are in place to ensure courses and events are well managed, consistently well presented and accurately described.

The "Harmonics in power installations" seminars organised by CDA with the Power Quality Partnership, and the "Power quality application guide", produced under the Leonardo Power Quality Initiative, were examples of CDA's material submitted to the IEE.

Details of CDA events can now be found on the IEE's online learning resources database under the "endorsed provider" section at www.iee.org.uk.
