Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 21, 2004

The latest free CPD technical seminar is entitled "Introduction to power quality, standards and solutions".

Another new member for the Power Quality Partnership, SupaRule Systems is bringing new expertise to LPQI, Europe's premier power quality training programme for LV electrical installation professionals.

Based in Limerick, Suparule is Ireland's leading supplier of power quality measurement instruments.

The new member joins Fluke (UK), LEM Instruments, MGE UPS Systems, PFC Engineering, Premium Power, Rhopoint Systems and Riello Galatrek to deliver the latest information on power quality problems - their measurement, management and mitigation - to electrical engineers, facilities managers and contractors across the UK and Ireland.

Together with the Copper Development Association, the members are launching a new free CPD technical seminar entitled "Introduction to power quality, standards and solutions".

Three events are planned for the autumn in Dublin, Doncaster and Leamington Spa.

These events will provide essential background information on power quality and standards governing the distribution companies, along with practical advice on recognising and rectifying power quality problems.
