Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 26, 2007

Seminars are aimed at businesses wishing to address the serious problems of downtime and losses caused by failures due to poor power quality.

The Power Quality Partnership (PQP) is to present a series of events aimed at businesses wishing to address the serious problems of downtime and losses caused by failures due to poor power quality.

Issues of this kind can have a severe impact on companies, causing, for example, computer lockups, equipment damage, blackouts, overheating neutrals and a host of other difficulties.

These free seminars will feature a host of professional speakers and cover a wide range of issues aiming to prevent such avoidable problems as unplanned downtime, wasted resources and high-energy costs.

delegates can find out how to properly measure and monitor for early warning signs, and how to solve issues before they occur by the timely application of the most up-to-date mitigation techniques and equipment.

The seminars (accredited by IET and CIBSE for CPD) will be of interest to consultants, design and maintenance engineers, facilities managers, electrical engineers and contractors who have a technical background and basic knowledge of electrical installation practice.

No prior knowledge of PQ issues will be assumed.

In addition to the seminars there is also a parallel exhibition of contemporary PQ matters offering excellent networking opportunities.
